Event Planning Licenses and Permits

The City of New Haven has established a Permit and License Center located in the Building Division at 200 Orange Street (Fifth Floor). This office will accept permit applications and permit fees, issue permits and licenses and assist with obtaining necessary departmental approvals for special events other than permits for use of Parks. When you go to the Permit and License Center you will be given a permit application form indicating what departments will need to review your plans. Staff in this office will work with you to coordinate the necessary approvals and to issue required permits. If necessary a meeting with all appropriate departments will be scheduled to expedite approvals.
